Jasper Bata is a Licensed Immigration Adviser with over 17 years of immigration industry experience. He has held roles with leading organisations, including PwC, Ernst & Young, and New Zealand Immigration Partners. Jasper is a Committee Member of the New Zealand Association of Immigration Professionals (NZAIP) and mentors new Licensed Immigration Advisers. Known for his technical expertise, honest advice, and practical approach, Jasper has earned the trust of employers, families, and individuals across New Zealand. Originally from the Philippines, Jasper leads Begin Immigration with integrity, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to every client.

Melissa Bata is a Risk and Compliance professional with over 17 years of experience advising senior leaders and organisations on risk management and regulatory matters. Melissa held key roles, including Principal Risk Advisor and Risk Lead/Manager, with PwC, Deloitte, the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, KiwiRail, Westpac Life (Fidelity Life), and TSB. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the Philippines and aspiring Licensed Immigration Adviser (LIA) in New Zealand, she brings strategic and operational expertise to Begin Immigration. Melissa leads the firm’s operations, risk and compliance functions, ensuring the business operates efficiently and to the highest professional standards.
